The ALSO app solves the problem of hands-free e-bike navigation for TM-B riders, so they can keep both hands on the handlebars, where they belong. Connecting your TM-B to the ALSO app.

We make integrating with the ALSO app easy for our riders. The moment you take your new TM-B out of the box, you’ll see a QR code on the bike’s hi-res touchscreen display called the Portal. Scan it to download the ALSO app, create a profile, and pair the app with your TM-B to register it in your name. It’s that simple.

Hands-free e-bike navigation.

When we say hands-free, we mean it. The ALSO app displays navigation on the Portal, so you can keep your phone securely stashed away. You can even switch the navigation view type, from Turn (next turn only) to List (next two turns), right on the Portal.

Navigation features.

• Search for destinations directly in the ALSO app: It's an all-in-one experience. You don't need to bother with third-party navigation apps at all if you don't want to.
• Share pins from Google and Apple Maps: It’s compatible. If you or a friend share a location from a third-party app, the ALSO app happily receives it.
• Custom navigation: Even if a pin is shared from a third-party app, the ALSO app controls the routing because, frankly, we think we do it better. Here’s why.
  • More accurate ETAs: Other map and routing apps don’t take the TM-B’s speed into consideration, so their ETAs say trips will take longer than they actually will. 
  • More routing options: Other apps usually only give you one bike route. The ALSO app gives you an average of three routes to choose from. In the mood to take the scenic route? The most direct route? The route that takes the side streets? With the ALSO app, you pick.

  • Choose your own terrain: Because other apps create their routes with regular bikes in mind, they tend to keep you on flat ground to make the ride easier. But e-bikes can handle more varied terrain, and our TM-B even has hill-flattening capabilities. So, the ALSO app lets you do a little climbing.

You put a lot of thought into choosing the right e-bike for you and want to keep it safe. Beyond hands-free e-bike navigation, the ALSO app gives you peace of mind with theft protection, so you can feel more confident when stepping away from your TM-B when you’re out and about.

• Remote lock/unlock within Bluetooth range: No need to enter your PIN directly on the TM-B. Do it from the app if you like.
• GPS locator: Check to make sure your TM-B is still where you left it.

You don’t need to be glued to your TM-B. Stay in the cafe and finish that latte instead. The ALSO app lets you track status from the palm of your hand.

Frequently asked questions.

Do I have to use the ALSO app to ride my TM-B?

The short answer: No. After initial set up, the ALSO app is not required to make the TM-B go. 

The long answer: We want you to get the most out of your TM-B, and the ALSO app makes riding more enjoyable. But if you like to unplug and leave your phone at home, you do you. We support you, however you like to ride. 

Is the ALSO app available for both iPhone and Android?

Yes. The ALSO app is available for both, and can be found in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, but there’s no need to go looking for it. Simply scan the QR code on the Portal display of your TM-B when you take it out of the box to download the app directly.

Can I use Google Maps or Apple Maps with the TM-B instead?

No. You cannot sync third-party apps like Google and Apple Maps directly with the TM-B. Only the ALSO app pairs with the TM-B. However, you can share pins from both Google and Apple Maps with the ALSO app, which will handle routing and display navigation on the TM-B’s Portal.

Is there a subscription fee for the ALSO app?

No. There’s no subscription fee for the ALSO app. It’s free to use. 

Can I use the ALSO app to navigate on the e-bikes of other brands?

No. The ALSO app is only designed to pair with the TM-B.
