When: Two hours before kickoff, at every Sounders and Reign home match during the regular season
Cost: Always free
Who: Any human, any bike, any brand
Bonus: Select matches include a TM-B Test Spin before kickoff
The first and most obvious reason to bike to Lumen Field is the price of parking.
Event parking at Lumen Field runs $30 to $75 depending on the match, with the closest spots hitting around $100 on the biggest nights. It's the same story nationally: SoFi Stadium prices its closest zones up to $80, plus more for concerts, while MetLife Stadium spans $30 to $160 depending on tier.
And then there’s the traffic. You ever leave an event early just to get a head start? That bottleneck you’re trying to avoid… It's not the parking lot. It's the last mile in and out of it. Lumen Field sits at the I-5/I-90 junction in SoDo, and gridlock only gets worse when the Mariners are playing next door the same night.
By taking advantage of our cities’ growing cycling infrastructure, biking to events becomes both the faster and cheaper option for easy in-and-out stadium access. Two terrible birds, one very fun stone.
No. Some teams have been running it as real infrastructure for close to a decade:
Boston Red Sox — free bike valet at every home game since 2015
San Francisco Giants — staffed valet at Oracle Park that fills to capacity on big nights
Chicago Cubs — free valet at Wrigley Field, placed deliberately next to the CTA stop
Washington Nationals — dedicated valet space for 250 bikes at Nationals Park
Audi Field (DC United, Washington Spirit) — the same model, proof it moves straight from baseball into soccer
Steadily, and well before ALSO got involved. The program, run with Cascade Bicycle Club, started with four Sounders home games in 2022, grew to ten in 2023, then fourteen in 2024. It's now a season-long fixture at every MLS home match. And this summer, the same partnership handled free bike valet for World Cup matches at Lumen Field, supporting an estimated 750,000 visitors through Seattle.

ALSO is now the official Bike Partner of both clubs that call Lumen Field home. With the pilot program of TM-B Test Spins added to the mix, we’re helping sports fans reimagine their game-day rituals of getting to and from the stadium.
Because two teams share one stadium during overlapping seasons, the added pressure on parking and transit creates the perfect opportunity for ALSO to pilot this program under real-world conditions, and the perfect excuse for fans to try biking to the match for a change.
The bike valet isn't just a courtesy—it's a way of proving everything we believe about movement through a dense city. Every bike stashed on match night is one fewer car circling for parking, one fewer person getting stuck in SoDo traffic, and one more Seattleite who just discovered the fastest and cheapest way to get to games.
It’s what we mean when we say big things happen when you start small. And it’s our way of making the better choice the obvious one.
That’s exactly why we didn't stop at safeguarding bikes. At select Sounders and Reign matches, the bike valet comes paired with a TM-B Test Spin: a short ride on the bike itself before you head in for kickoff. Simply show up, hop on, and picture your life with a TM-B instead of a car for getting around the city.
Full match schedule, valet details, and Test Spin sign-up all live on our Sounders & Reign partnership page. RSVP for a Test Spin and we'll see you at Lumen Field.
